Meet John Abbott

John Abbott's real estate journey began in the early 2000s when he became a licensed Realtor and started investing in rental properties. Like many investors of that era, he learned some valuable lessons during the real estate crash of 2008. While many people were running from real estate, John was busy figuring out where the next opportunity would be.

That search eventually led him to raw land.

What started as a simple investment strategy quickly turned into a passion. John discovered that land offered many of the advantages of real estate without some of the headaches that come with houses and tenants. No midnight phone calls about leaking toilets. No broken air conditioners. No tenants. Just solid assets with long-term potential.

Today, through Abbott Investment Group, John specializes in acquiring, selling, and owner-financing land throughout Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and other western states. He has helped hundreds of buyers achieve land ownership, many of whom never thought owning property would be possible.

Despite his focus on land, John has never completely left traditional real estate behind. He and his wife, Jennifer Abbott, still enjoy purchasing, remodeling, and flipping homes whenever the right opportunity comes along.

 

Although if you ask him, Jennifer enjoys the remodeling and designing part a lot more than he does. John is usually more interested in the numbers, while she is busy picking out paint colors, flooring, and all the details that make a house feel like home.

When he's not evaluating land deals, you'll likely find him spending time with his family, traveling throughout the West looking at properties, or working on his next real estate project. He believes that real estate should be straightforward, honest, and beneficial for everyone involved, a philosophy that continues to guide both his business and his relationships with clients.
